Teacher of the Week - April 8th

This week's featured teacher for Kreole Elementary School is Ms. Kim Dorsey from Pascagoula, Mississippi. She is a proud alumna of The University of Southern Mississippi. She is a second grade teacher, who has been teaching for 27 years with the last five being with Moss Point School District. Ms.Dorsey says that her favorite thing about being a teacher is, "Getting to see the growth in children from first entering into second grade to leaving preparing for the next year." Thank you Ms. Kim Dorsey for all of your hard work and dedication to the students and Moss Point School District!

Emma Holmes Elected Teacher of the Year

When Mrs. Emma Holmes arrived at MPKP on the morning of February 14, 2019, she had no idea that she would receive the honor of the year. A veteran teacher with over 30 years of experiece, Holmes has been awarded the 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year for her exceptional commitment to students. Mrs. Holmes has demonstrated resilence time and time again! Her commitment to student success is unwavering. She is relentless in her efforts to ensure that "No Child is Left Behind". Her technique of blending "old school" with "new school" has proven to be tried and true in doing "Whatever it Takes" to ensure that learning is taking place. Congratulations, Mrs. Emma Holmes!

MPKP Reaches PBIS Model School Status

On Tuesday, February 12, 2019, MPKP was named a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) Model School site by REACH MS. This is an accomplishment that we are extremely proud of as MPKP is one of only 70 PBIS Model Schools in the state of Mississippi. It's a GREAT Day to be a TIGER! Thanks to all for "Putting Your PAWS Up and Keeping Them There!
